As a person-centured Counsellor I seek to engage my clients in a co-created and supportive therapeutic relationship where self exploration, increased self-awareness and deeper connection to one‘s resources and true self.
I understand entering a counselling relationship can bring up difficult and painful feelings I believe ‘the therapeutic relationship is the therapy’, this can be life changing and enhancing to one’s process.
My approach holds you, the client, at the centre of the work. I believe only you truly know what goes on for you and where you want to be. You hold the key and experiences to your personal growth.
I would work towards achieving this by providing a safe space to really listening to you through your frame of reference as well as extending acceptance, unconditional positive regard and honesty. All three conditions Carl Roger’s believed to be neccessay conditions for growth.
My goal is to facilitate and provide a clinical relationship for your personal development.
Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a 121 relationship between a trained counsellor and client. This is central to the working alliance, the aim of my work is to facilitate your personal growth, self-understanding, self-empowerment, helping you with your journey.

These are just a few emotions we as humans can experience. I offer a space to help access your natural inner resources and facilitate you through your process.
I offer an initial 15minute telephone conversation for you to tell me about your presenting issues.
We would then meet for a face to face consultation. This is a chance for you to experience how we would work together. We will discuss confidentiality, my ethical standpoint as I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice and any other questions you may have.
I offer a telephone assessment to all potential clients. Following this assessment, a therapy consultation will be booked to discuss what has been presented in more detail.
